mu·sic\ˈmyü-zik\noun\an art form whose medium is sound

I love music.

Today, I am going to my orchestra's last rehearsal of the season- it is from 3:30 to 9. Our concert is in a week. We are playing the Wasps Suite by Vaughan Williams, and the Flying Theme from E.T. by John Williams. Last semester we played Beethoven's Symphony #4, and we will play #5 next semester. That's the famous- Dun dun dun duuuuuuun! Dun dun dun duuuuuun! I am super excited. By the way, I play the violin and the piano, and I have perfect pitch. I started piano when I was 3 or 4, and violin when I was 9. The times that I want to play the violin are when I'm angry, sad, mad, or completely happy. So I guess it's my form of expression. Instead of screaming in my pillow, punching the wall, or saying "Why me?!?!?!" I rip it out on my violin. Then I feel better.

Some people always ask me why I have so many musical talents, and they don't have any talents. I tell them that they do, but they're just not as.... obvious, I guess. For example, some people have talents for making friends, sympathizing with others, staying sane, or even playing scrabble. The more you practice them, the better they will become.

There's my sermon for the day.
